CCP Traditional Charity Fair

At the fair visitors could see a large exhibition stand presenting the works of ceramic workshop for teenagers headed by CCP artist and teacher Eugene Povetkina. There were brooches, toys, dishware and décor here. Guests could buy a plate made by Zhenya Alekseyeva, a girl with Lejeune syndrome. Last year CCP organized an exhibition of  Zhenya’s childhood paintings, and now under the guidance of her teacher she paints the plates choosing the colors consciously and in good taste.

The artist form «Peculiar ceramic at VDNH»  Alena Trubihina brought calendars with her paintings to the fair. And they were all sold out in two hours. The angels made by students of «Technological college № 21» quickly flew away to their new owners.

Carpenter workshop «Artel of blissfuls» presented new flashlights: a dog and a train referring to the cooperation with RZD.  «Peculiar ceramic at VDNH» brought cups with new design, for example with the inscription “Strongmen enter the arena / the law and truth are silent in front of them”. Cranberry-orange jelly was made especially for the fair by the grown-ups with special needs. They are students of the program “Working noon” which provides daytime employment for the young gown-ups with developmental disorders in Charity Foundation “Life Route”.

As always it was noisy and crowded in the two-storey building of the Center. The snack bar was full of sweets and baked goods, provided by “Dasha’s cakes”, “BrownieMama” and “Readymade” café. As well as by our mothers, grandmothers and volunteers.

“Magic School” workshops for children with Down syndrome made odorous colorful funny scrub soap with sea salt, tangerine peel and oat flakes. St.Sophia’s social house sold gingerbreads made with the help of children with severe multiple disorders who live there. Such organizations as “Our Sunny World”, “Rafail”, Parents’ Association “Light” form the city of Vladimir, Families’ Association “Colors of this World”, Art-Center “Maria’s Children”, “Chest” workshop and others had their attractive stands here.

In parallel there were workshops for the children: some of them sculpt from clay, some kids made treasure boxes from matchboxes, the others made convertible notepads. The evening was finished by the concert of Moonberry Jam Jazz band. The musicians opened the new season and celebrated birthday of their soloist Lida Grinberg. Mister Ditmar Tusk form the German Embassy came to the fair especially to congratulate Lida and to present her a bunch of flowers.

Thanks a lot for everyone who came to the fair!
